Strategic Partnership Between Automation Anywhere and Amazon Web Services Strengthen Enterprise Processes

“Automation Anywhere” and “Amazon Web Service” Collaboration

Automation Anywhere (AA), a San Jose-based global software company founded in 2003, has collaborated with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in an attempt to strengthen both enterprises’ processes, merging intelligent automation and generative AI into one.

Automation Anywhere and Amazon Web Services’ collaboration unites AA’s cloud-native platform with Amazon’s SageMaker JumpStart and Bedrock, to help enhance AA’s generative AI capabilities.

With Amazon’s Bedrock capabilities shown through their model services for Anthropic and Stability.ai, it is hoped that they can help AA build generative AI-powered apps with the right model swiftly.

Usage

The two companies have integrated a few features to optimize their combined customers’ experience. They can benefit from key AWS technologies, such as Textract for document processing and AWS Connect for customer services.

Customers can also gain access to SageMaker AI and Machine Learning (ML) library of LLMs (large language models).

AA and AWS believe that by integrating generative AI into the customers’ needed features, their go-to-market relationship will become stronger and be further reinforced.

With Amazon’s generative AI model, their customers will be able to easily add generative AI steps into their automation workflow without any code. At the moment, AA and AWS are also working on integrating their features around prompting and model selection.

The two companies seem to be sure that their act of combining automation and generative AI can unleash the next surge of productivity. By providing features like understanding sentiment, summarizing documentation, and reading and extracting data from key documents expeditiously, they feel their customers’ productivity can be accelerated.

Customers will be able to fluidly generate the contents they need to keep their workflows moving. They believe these key capabilities can transform entire industries and completely change the way humans work.

Automation Anywhere has also announced a partnership with Google Cloud, and the three companies’ amalgamation will contribute to what AA calls the Automation Success Platform. It is hoped that this platform will play a pivotal role in shaping human interactions with automation in the future.

Available Tools

Lastly, Automation Anywhere has declared a range of generative AI-powered tools from this collaboration, which includes Automation Co-Pilot + Generative AI for Business Users, Automation Co-Pilot + Generative AI for Automators, and Document Automation + Generative AI. These tools allow anyone to create their own automation.

The tools that came out of this collaboration can most definitely be useful for professionals who need cloud-native platforms with various automation features in order to start or run their businesses.

With AI-powered tools specifically made for business users and document automation, your business can start or run smoothly, and processes that would usually take hours might be able to be done much more speedily.

The programs and platforms created by these three collaborators seem to have been proven reliable, as shown by their services being used by WebPT and ITAU Bank. WebPT has tried out AA’s Automation 360 cloud, fueled by AWS’ cloud-based infrastructure. ITAU Bank has deployed thousands of AA’s cloud-native bots, running on AWS’ cost-effective and user-friendly resources.

Microsoft Collaborates with Builder.ai, Ramping Up on AI Efforts

Microsoft has invested a sum of money into Builder.ai, a London-based startup that helps companies make applications without coding experience. With Builder.ai, everyone, from tech design professionals to tech-shy individuals with limited programming experience, can develop and manage their own apps.

With this partnership, Microsoft plans to blend Builder.ai’s AI assistant, Natasha, into its Teams video and chat software. This integration can make Microsoft’s AI algorithms sound more human-like and allow customers to build business apps within the platform.

As for Builder.ai, their team and clients will gain access to Microsoft’s Azure suite. Despite already offering its own suite of no-code app development, Microsoft hopes that Builder.ai’s expertise in the matter can advance its tools’ capability and quality.

Future of Software

CEO of Builder.ai, Sachin De Duggal, believes that the future of software is one where customers won’t need to be technical, and what Builder.ai and Microsoft are doing together is creating a world where customers are able to build, run, and host software, all on their own.

Microsoft has made gargantuan efforts in investing in AI. Aside from the partnership with Builder.ai, they reportedly invested $13 billion into OpenAI. Through that collaboration, Microsoft has incorporated OpenAI’s AI language processing software into Bing’s search engine and Office productivity apps. In addition to those, Microsoft has sought to make its digital entities more conversational and human, using its improved LaMDA language processing model.

Stability.AI 101

What is Stability.AI?

Stability.AI is a London and San Francisco-based visual art startup company that designs AI tools. By creating AI-powered tools and products, Stability.AI aims to maximize the accessibility of modern AI for everyone anywhere.

First launching in 2021, Stability.AI has managed to assemble over 200,000 creators, developers, and researchers from all over the world to inspire global creativity and innovation. With its cutting-edge research, Stability.AI, supported by the communities alongside it, is developing AI models which could hopefully someday be applied to imaging, language, code, audio, video, 3D content, design, and biotech.

Stability.AI partnered up with Amazon Web Services, providing them with the Ezra-1 UltraCluster, Amazon’s supercomputer (considered the fifth-largest in the world). This provision allows Stability.AI to generate the features and advancements needed to create its products.

Stability.AI’s Softwares

Since its launch, Stability.AI has created music- and image-generating systems that are open to the public to use and develop. In August 2022, Stability.AI co-launched a diffusion model named Stable Diffusion using Ezra-1. In November 2022, Stability.AI then entirely funded and developed the new and improved Stable Diffusion 2.0, which has been proven to be a wildly successful open-source platform. After its release, more and more applications were powered by Stable Diffusion, including but not limited to:

It’s not shocking that Stability.AI would apply Stable Diffusion to their own product, DreamStudio. DreamStudio is an imaging suite that can help users create unique designs. DreamStudio has an array of plugins and tools from Clipdrop, Photoshop, and Blender. Stability.AI has also created a Stable Diffusion XL beta that you can try on DreamStudio. You can gain access and download these tools on Stability.AI’s site!

More Projects

Aside from Stable Diffusion, Stability.AI has worked on a considerable amount of projects, such as DeepFloyd IF and a few APIs. DeepFloyd IF allows users to generate high-resolution images in sizeable quantities rapidly. Different from Stable Diffusion, which depends on image representations that already exist but are not fully developed, DeepFloyd IF operates within pixel space. You can check out DeepFloyd IF’s gallery here!

DeepFloyd IF is said to generate the results of text-to-image prompts with different texts, styles, textures, and spatial relations. DeepFloyd IF can also make image-to-image translations, allowing users to change the styles, patterns, and details of their generated images easily. DeepFloyd IF offers creative freedom, allowing texts to be embroidered onto fabrics, inserted into stained-glass windows, and lighted up onto a neon sign. DeepFloyd IF is claimed to grant massive creativity to its users without any fine-tuning required.

Lastly, in 2023, Stability.AI developed its large-scale chatbot called StableVicuna. StableVicuna is trained via reinforced learning from human feedback (RLHF), which allows a more fine-grained tuning of model behavior, with indirect human involvement. With its own open-source language model, StableLM, Stability.AI believes it can provide accessible and transparent AI technology all over the world.
